As our first project in my Graphic Design Methods and Principles class, students were tasked to pick a designer and create three book covers in their style for a book documenting their design identity, achievements, and history. I chose Alexey Brodovitch as photography was a primary focus in his design, a practice that I uphold. Minimalist imagery with a an emphasis on fashion and bold typography was the direction I wanted to go in, adding a modern photographic and typographic elements to bring his design language into the modern day. The first two covers are front covers, while the third is both front and back.
